Partners for Livable Communities has extensive experience in developing, planning and managing groundbreaking national conferences, local and regional workshops, and forums for diverse audiences.
As cities such as Orlando, Memphis, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and Rochester, NY have discovered, Partners has the ability to plan a well-run conference, workshop or forum that incorporates nationally renowned speakers, timely and innovative content and a lively agenda that can inspire local stakeholders, serve as the springboard for revitalization and set in place an action agenda for change. Whether it’s a national conference on regional cooperation or a local workshop on cultural tourism, Partners can help bring national attention to a community and inspiration for local action and change.
Partners' meeting development and management services range from developing a theme, program and work plan for your conference to producing a conference or workshop and arranging for conference follow-up activities.
Examples of different types of events include:
National Conferences: Partners has made a name for itself in delivering large-scale conferences that bring together the full spectrum of civic stakeholders to join with stellar speakers and panelists. The common threads among the events are the potential to focus a national and international spotlight on the hosting community as well as explore pioneering themes. The universal outcome has been a lasting value to the hosts.
Workshops: Partners can develop intensive educational meetings or programs for relatively small groups, usually fewer than 50 people, that emphasize participation in problem solving. Ideas and panelists for these one to one-and-a-half day workshops are drawn from Partners’ network of board members, associates and consultants.
Forums: For topics of broader interest or to reach a broader audience, Partners can develop a public meeting on a specific subject. These forums are planned by Partners’ staff and draw upon the Partners' network for ideas and participants. Forums usually last from one to one-and-a-half days and are designed for groups of 100 or more local, regional or national attendees.
