The National Housing Conference (NHC) has been an advocate for safe and affordable housing for all since its founding in 1931. It has gained the stature of spokesperson for housing through active engagement of its member organizations in nonpartisan promotion for successful housing policy solutions at the local, state and national levels. The Center for Housing Policy, its research affiliate, serves to broaden the understanding of what constitutes the nation’s housing challenges and to analyze the efficacy of policies and programs that have been developed do address these issues.
